I currently serve as the Vice Chair of the Springfield Tech Council Board.

I am a also a current Board member at large of Redeemer Lutheran Church, Springfield, MO and sing in the church choir and play trumpet (but not at the same time). 

I also worked with with a group focused on a deep dive into the the CIS v8 controls that was sponsored by Pax8. Here is one of our deliverables, a series of visuals showing the interrelationships of the controls. 

I attended various technical and vocational education advisory board meetings with Ozarks Technical Community College, Springfield Public Schools, and Greater Ozarks Cooperating School Districts. 

I worked as part of the Steering Committee that helped to make the Missouri Cybersecurity Center of Excellence a reality. 

I am a regular speaker about cybersecurity and human behavior at local civic groups; some of the most recent events are listed on my Speaking page.

I also served the Springfield Greene County Park Board as a Board member for two years and as its Vice Chair for one year from 2000 – 2023.

In the early 2000s, I was the webmaster for Metro Animal, a group helping with animal adoption.
